Bio
Fast Times was formed in early 2010 by a group of seasoned musicians that grew up in Waukegan, Il. and knew each other their whole lives. They decided to form a band that brings back the great music and lifestyle of the 80′s and to make sure they had fun doing it! Fast Times has five members.

Rockin’ Guitar
I’ve been playing guitar since I was 8 yrs. old and I’ve never put it down. I have jammed with many local musicians. I used to be the guitarist for the band Good & Plenty from the late 80′s and had my own production company in the 90′s called PJ Productions. I love to play live and love the energy you get from the crowds. It’s all about having fun! I am happily married with three awesome kids that are also very talented (musically).
My gear is a 1982 Custom Ibanez playing through a Line 6 Spider III 150 Combo.

LEAD VOCALIST
Michael “Doc” Burgess
Michael “Doc” Burgess holds a doctorate in music and voice performance from the University of Michigan… but… don’t hold that against him. He’s ecstatic to be back in a band, and thanks the Fast Times Boys for enabling his mid-life crisis, giving him a second shot at being a Rock God. He grew up a rocker, has fronted various bands and vocal groups in his younger, wild days… before he got “ed’jicated”. He became a professional singer over 20 years ago, the day he followed an audition sheet on a college call board for a regular weekend gig, sang some Eagles’ song, and was put in the group and onstage that same night. Since then, Doc B has sung stage performances including Jesus in JC Superstar (New Orleans and San Antonio runs), but also classical orchestra and opera gigs. Yes… you can begin your “Ooo’s and Aaaaah’s” at any time. Or. Not. Sometimes, you can also catch Michael moonlighting with his acoustic guitar singing pseudonymous-ly in his “Live Sessons with Paddy O’”.
Or… just come out to a Fast Time’s gig and party your ass off. He’ll be holding the microphone.
